Alice A. Bohac (nee Qualls), 78, of Skidmore, Texas, passed away on May 13, 2011. She was born on June 25, 1932, to Charlie and Grace (Rutledge) Qualls in Atascosa County, Texas.

She married Joe Bohac in Beeville, Texas, on July 4, 1951, and the couple made their home in Skidmore. A homemaker by trade, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Skidmore, where

she participated in all the church’s activities. Her family will remember her as the “glue,” whose greatest joys were spending time with her family and keeping them together.

Mrs. Bohac was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gary Lynn Bohac; her sister, Bertha Kase; and her brother, Arvin Qualls.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; two sons, Jimmy Bohac (Kay), of Lockhart, and Larry Bohac (Melissa) of Skidmore; two sisters, Diane Albach, of Seguin, and Debbie Sanchez, of San Antonio; two brothers, Chuck Qualls (Kay) and Leon Qualls, all of San Antonio; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held at Galloway and Sons Chapel, in Beeville, on Monday, May 16, 2011, from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Jason Calvert officiating. Burial followed in the Beeville Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers were Jeremy Bohac, Josh Bohac, Joey Alvarez, Janus Bohac, Josh Childress and James Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Smith,  Jim Maxey and Richard Barnhart.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorial donations in Mrs. Bohac’s name be made to the First United Methodist Church of Skidmore, P.O. Box 643, Skidmore, Texas 78389.
