Antero M. Aguirre, 87, of Lockhart, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018.
Mr. Aguirre was born Jan. 3, 1931 in Pawnee to Bentura (Medina) and Pedro Dubose Aguirre.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Adaha Palacios and Elogia Aguirre; and a brother, Benancio M. Aguirre.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Possoit Aguirre of Lockhart; 14 children, Antero G. Aguirre Jr., Amparo (Rusty) Wooley, Luis (Virginia) Aguirre and Gloria (Jr.) Dauzat, all of Waco, Elena (Sonny) Baker of Mexia, Juan (Rosemary) Aguirre of Maxell, Olga Green of Big Springs, Lupe (Bill) Dryden of LaFayette, Louisiana, Juan (Amenia) DeLeon of Honduras, Rick (Lori) Muirhead of Pasadena, Adelmiro Aguirre and James Walker, both of Lockhart, Angela (Danelle) Aguirre of Sadsburgville, Pennsylvania, and Eufemia Kinney of Bouse, Arizona; nine sisters, Delia Rendon of Pearsall, Emilia Ramos, Eugenia (John) Roberts, Janie Lopez, Sylvia Ruiz and Irma (Ferdinando) Castro, all of Three Rivers, Altita Guerrero of Uvalde, Maria (Frank) Montemajor of Madera, California, and Ninfa Zepeda of Sinton; one brother, Salvador (Teresa) Aguirre of Cedar Park; 45 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; and 52 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Roberson Funeral Home.
The funeral service was conducted there at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31. Burial followed at the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Antero Aguirre Jr., Luis Aguirre, Adelmiro Aguirre, Juanito Aguirre, Antonio Aguirre and Christopher Aguirre.
Arrangements were entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
