Betty J. “Mrs. Bob” Kinsey, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at the age of 77. She was born on Jan. 27, 1933, in Hondo, Texas to Roy William and Addie Manila (Moss) Breiten.

Betty and her husband, Bobby Earl known as “Hamburger Bob” married on Dec. 31, 1948, in New Braunfels, Texas. They loved to serve others and owned and operated over

13 restaurants, 11 which were located in Austin, the others in Garfield and Niederwald, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Ronald Kinsey; and one sister.

Betty is survived by her sons, Rodney Kinsey and wife, Sami, of Garfield, and Roger Kinsey and wife, Joslyn, of El Sequindo, Calif.; her daughter, Karen Kinsey Alford and husband, Tommy, of Cedar Creek, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at McCurdy Funeral Home.

A celebration of “Mrs. Bob’s” life was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at McCurdy Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Kinsey officiating. Interment followed at Bunton Cemetery, Bunton, Texas.
