The dedication for the new Colt Miranda Memorial Soccer Field was short and sweet, but not without heartfelt words from Johnny Miranda and Ramez Antoun.
Colt’s father, Johnny, choked up a bit during his short speech in which he thanked all the people present for coming out to the event and supporting the family.
Antoun

followed Miranda with a longer speech, which was just as touching and delivered eloquently and with sporadic, tender humor.
The new plaque reads, Colt Miranda Memorial Soccer Field “Who’s the Man?”
The newly named soccer field is located to the south east of Bluebonnet Elementary at the Cpl. Jason K. LaFleur Sports Complex.
The dedication was celebrated with jumping castles for the little ones. It also served as an opportunity for vendors and clubs to sell their goods.
An impromptu game between the high school soccer teams became the first game to be played on the Colt Miranda field.
All involved in preparing for and celebrating in Colt’s memory had great fun visiting and enjoying the afternoon with friends, family and the community.
Colt would be proud of having young soccer players learn their skills and develop in their sport as fine young men and ladies of honor and great sportsmanship on his field.
“Who’s the man?”
