Council to revisit underground utility options

The Lockhart City Council will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Items scheduled for discussion during this meeting include:

– Reading of a proclamation declaring April as “Fair Housing Month;”-

– Discussion and/or action regarding City Manager appointment of the Fair Housing Administrator;

– Discussion and/or action regardin

g preliminary settlement negotiations with the Texas Gas Service Company regarding their proposed rate increases;

– Hold a public hearing regarding proposed rate increases by the Texas Gas Services Company;

– Discussion and/or action regarding required funding for preliminary estimated cost scenarios for adjustments and/or relocations of utilities for the Proposition 12 US 183 Highway expansion project through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and regarding revenue requirements to cover debt payments for the project;

– Discussion regarding adoption of “Rules of Procedure” for the City Council in accordance with Section 3.10. – Rules of procedure, of the City of Lockhart Charter, and possible direction to staff and/or the City Attorney;

– Discussion and/or action regarding lease extension with Livengood Feed, Inc., for Lot 2 of the Ice-House Addition;

– Discussion and/or action regarding public relation ideas to promote Lockhart;

– Discussion and/or action to consider Ordinance 2012-09 adopting amendments to Chapter 22 “Floods,” Lockhart Code of Ordinances, renaming Article II “Flood Hazard Areas” to Article II “Flood Damage Prevention” and revising Sections 22-26 through 22-100, and revising Article III “Stormwater Drainage and Flood Control” by adding a new Section 22-134 “Security enclosure;” and

– Discussion and/or action to consider Ordinance 2012-10 adopting amendments to Chapter 26 “Health and Sanitation,” Lockhart Code of Ordinances, Article II “Food and Food Handlers”, adding a new Section 26-76 “Food trailer courts.”

Items on this tentative agenda are subject to change prior to the posting of the final agenda, 72 hours before the scheduled meeting. The Lockhart City Council routinely meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Glosserman Conference Room in the basement level of Lockhart City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio St., in Lockhart. Work sessions, in which the council discusses items on the agenda but takes no official action, begin at 6:30 p.m., immediately prior to the meetings. Both work sessions and regular meetings are open to the public and televised on Time Warner Digital Cable Channel 10.
