David Morris Basey, 53, of Lockhart, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006. He was born on Oct. 2, 1952 in Austin, Texas to Jerry Basey and LaVerne Solso.
Mr. Basey was preceded in death by his mother; uncles, Lawrence “Sonny” Gustav Solso, V.D. Basey, Morris Basey and Wayland Basey; and aunts, Sara Ann, Nobie and Marjorie.
He is surived by his wife, Lynda Basey; fath

er, Jerry Basey and step-mother, Margie Basey; sons: Jerry David Basey and James Wayland Basey; brothers, Archie Basey, Kevin Basey and Joel McCaskill; sisters, Bonnie Fawn Basey, Marjorie Basey, Debbie and Dora; four grandchildren: Austin Kyle Basey, Elizabeth Marie Basey, Winter Rose Basey and Willow Grace Basey.
In life, he was a Methodist, a member and performer at the Baker and Gaslight Theaters; a former member of the Bakers Half Dozen and a 35-year member of Local 286 Austin Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union.
Memorial Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at McCurdy Memorial Chapel, Lockhart with Bob Cox officiating.
