Dominga Gomez, 89, of Round Rock, Texas passed away on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Trinity Care Center in Round Rock.
Dominga was born on Dec. 30, 1918 in Denton, Texas, to Jeronimo and Angelita Elias. She was raised in Jones county just east of Stamford. She married Jesus H. Gomez in 1931. He preceded her in death in 1974. She was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic

Church in Stamford and was a Crusillista at St. Ann’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Adella Nieto; six sons: Fred Gomez, Ted Gomez, Martin Gomez, Paul Gomez, Wendell Gomez and Guadalupe Gomez; one brother, Juan Elias; and three sisters: Ester Ozuna, Frances Vasquez and Geneva Vasquez.
She is survived by one son, Ray Gomez and wife, Mary, of Stamford; three daughters: Virginia Macias and husband, John, of Denham Springs, La., Stella Camp and husband, Mark, of Round Rock, and Lorraine Gomez, of Stamford; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary services were held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Tankerlsy Funeral Home in Stamford. Funeral Mass was scheduled at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Stamford with Father George Roney officiating. Burial is planned afterwards in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford.
