E. C. (Jigger) Alexander, rodeo cowboy and rancher, was born in Dale, Texas on July 17, 1929. He passed away on March 25, 2005 at the age of 75 after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include wife of 55 years, Ruth Alexander; one daughter, Lisa Alexander of Lockhart; one sister, Marilyn Riddle of Lockhart; one aunt, Effie Prestidge of Lockhart; one sister-in-law, Mary Lou B

ullock of Luling and a number of nieces and nephews; also loving family friend Lynda Croft.
Jigger served his country in the Army from 1952 to 1954. He was stationed in Korea. Jigger was a Lifetime Member of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association and the San Antonio Livestock Show Association.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dan Dent and his team at the University Hospital in San Antonio for their care and concern during his stay.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund, 101 Pro Rodeo Drive, Colorado Springs, Colo. 80919.
Services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 27 at McCurdy Memorial Chapel, Lockhart, with Rev. Will Paradeaux, officiating. Interment followed at the Bunton Cemetery in Dale, Texas. Proud to serve as pallbearers were Danny Buckner, Ricky Schmidt, Kent Riddle, Butch Franks, Bill Rob Miller and Winn Schroeder.
