Edwin Hemme, 83, of Lockhart, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at Golden Age Nursing Home. He was born on Oct. 8, 1922, in Lockhart, to Hugo J. and Lydia (Barsch) Hemme.
Edwin served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was married to Elizabeth Davidson on Dec. 28, 1941, in Lockhart. He was a skilled carpenter. He was a member of the Dale Chu

rch of Christ.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Lydia Hemme; by two brothers, Leon Hemme and Henry Hemme; and by two grandchildren, Kimberly and Brandon Hemme.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Hemme of Lockhart; his sons, David Hemme and his wife Mary of San Antonio, and Don Hemme and his wife Patti of Pleasanton; his daughter, Brenda Davidson and her husband O.E. of Cameron; his brothers, Robert Hemme and his wife Norma, and Hugo Hemme and his wife Lenora, all of Lockhart; seven grandchildren, Traci McCollough, Paul Hemme, Brent Davidson, Kristin Ware, Brandy Davidson, James Hemme and Crystal Hemme; and two great-grandchildren, Kirstin Ware and Nathan McCollough.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel with O.E. Davidson officiating. Interment followed in Bunton Cemetery. Edwin”s grandchildren served as pallbearers.
