Gertrude Haley, 90, of Lockhart, passed away Friday, Aug. 04, 2006, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Lockhart. She was born on Dec. 28, 1915, in Mendoza, Texas, to Alfred Kanemeier and Anna (Heinman) Kanemeier.
Gertrude was married to Clifton Haley on Jan. 28, 1938, in Lockhart. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Farm Bureau and the
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Anna Kanemeier; her husband, Clifton Haley; her great-granddaughter, Tabitha Hendrickson; her sisters, Hertha Barker and Elvira Kelly.
She is survived by her three daughters, Margie Boller and husband William of Katy, Dorothy Carter of Channelview and Patsy Campbell and husband Bill of Spring; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at McCurdy Funeral Home.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Walther officiating. Interment will follow in the Lockhart City Cemetery.
