Ginger G. Bennett, 79, passed away peacefully at her Lockhart home with her loving family at 
her side.

She was born Aug. 16, 1934, to Ms. Grace E. Sluder in Johnson City, Tenn. She worked 
as an IT Technician in the industrial electronic service industry. She was married to Burnett K. 
Bennett on Sept. 19, 1950. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by

her daughters: Brenda S. Bennett and friend, Tina Davis, and Penny L. 
Solomon and husband, Bennett L., all of Johnson City, Tenn.; Linda Bennett Hinkle, of
Lockhart, Texas, Deborah A. Hicks and husband Jay, of Unicoi, Tenn., Barbara J. Shelton and 
husband, Carson, of Lockhart, and Virginia E. Alexander and husband, Kenneth A., of Johnson City, 
Tenn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special extended family members Providencia, 
Mayra and Ruben Ortiz Calderon, of Lockhart.

The family would like to thank the special 
caregivers Yolanda Banda and Dr. Laurence and staff for their compassion, friendship and loving 
care.

A visitation was held from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2014, in the Eeds Funeral 
Home Chapel in Lockhart, Texas. Funeral services will be held on May 15, 2014, from 6 -8 p.m. at the Appalachian 
Funeral Home in Johnson City, Tenn., with Pastor Richard Sheppard officiating. She will be 
laid to rest beside her husband on May 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Washington County 
Memory Gardens in Johnson City, Tenn.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth A. Alexander, Brad Gouge, David Gobble, Michael Dearstone, Cody 
Barron and Jamie Cook. Honorary Pallbearers are Wesley Hicks and Keisha VanDyke .
