Who says Aggies and Longhorns can’t work together.

For the second year, the Caldwell County Texas Exes and the Caldwell County A&M Club have put their deep-seeded differences aside – just for a while – to plan the annual Gig ‘Em and Hook ‘Em Golf Classic, in an effort to raise scholarship funds for local se

niors.

The Second Annual Gig ‘Em and Hook ‘Em Golf Classic is slated Saturday, May 7, at noon at the Luling Golf Course. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. that day, but singles are welcome to register to play.

The $50-per-golfer fee will include green fees, cart rental, a commemorative cap, two beverages and a ticket to the Awards Dinner at the Luling Southside Club, immediately after the tournament.

In addition, sponsors are being sought for the event, with three available levels of sponsorship beginning as low as $50.

All proceeds from the event will be divided evenly between the Caldwell County Texas Exes and the Caldwell County A&M Club.  The same might not be said for bragging rights.

For additional information regarding sponsorships, contact Lucy Knight via email at lucyknight@austin.rr.com. Golfers seeking additional information may contact Ken Doran at kdoran@austin.rr.com.
