Harold R. Voigt, 73, loving father and grandfather, of Pettytown, Texas, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1933, in Red Rock, Texas, to Virlon and Laura (Purcell) Voigt. He served in the United States Armed Forces during the Korean War. He was married to Billie Lee on July 22, 1955, in Watterson. He worked as a Supervisor for the Texas Departme

nt of Transportation. He was a member of the Bateman Baptist Church.
Harold was preceded in death by his father, Virlon Voigt, and by one brother, Carl Voigt.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Voigt of Pettytown; his mother, Laura Voigt of Lockhart; one son, James “Sid” Voigt of New Braunfels; one foster son, Stanley Lillian of Lockhart; one daughter, Kathy Griego of Buffalo; one brother, Jake Voigt of Watterson; seven grandchildren, Justin, Richard and Madalyn Voigt, Joshua, Jeremiah and Jacob Griego and Steven Lillian; two great-grandchildren, Katlyn and Royce Griego.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at McCurdy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at McCurdy Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Pettytown Cemetery.
