Harvey Clark Shomette, 81, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2006. He was born on Oct. 9, 1924, in Lockhart to the late Harvey Harmon Shomette and Clara Clark Shomette Russell.
He was married to Sydney Bowman Shomette, who is deceased.
He was a retired high school band director and history teacher. He served in the United States Army as a Gunn

er and Radioman on A-20 Attack Bombers during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #697 and the American Legion. He was a Presbyterian.
His parents, Harvey and Clara Shomette, preceded Harvey in death.
He is survived by his children, Michael Jeffrey Shomette of San Saba, Texas, Deborah Ann Werlla of Manvel, Texas, David Bowman Shomette of Houston, Texas, Timothy Clark Shomette of Kerrville, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Jones of Santa Fe, Texas, Gena Bailey of San Angelo, Texas, Kevin Shomette of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Devin, Caitlyn and Brandon Shomette of Kerrville, Texas; and his great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Riley Jones of Santa Fe, Texas.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mark Stoub officiating. Interment will follow in Lockhart City Cemetery.
