A family gathering turned tragic on Saturday afternoon when a vehicle-pedestrian accident claimed the life of a child in the 700 block of Commerce Street. A Lockhart man was arrested on Tuesday after a four-month investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and local law enforcement agencies determined he may have been responsible for a New Year’s Day fire that left one firefighter injured.
