Investigators seek community assistance in
locating fifth suspect
Four suspects have been arrested and one remains at large in connection with an aggravated sexual assault that took place in Reedville in early April.

A family gathering turned tragic on Saturday afternoon when a vehicle-pedestrian accident claimed the life of a child in the 700 block of Commerce Street.

A Lockhart man was arrested on Tuesday after a four-month investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and local law enforcement agencies determined he may have been responsible for a New Year’s Day fire that left one firefighter injured.

Juarez to spend 27 years in prison for 2003 assault of girlfriend’s 9-year-old daughter
A Caldwell County jury found Sammy Juarez, Jr., guilty of the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault on Tuesday afternoon after a one-day trial in front of visiting District Judge Mark Luitjen.
