A dozen Lions and Lady Lions gave strong enough performances during last week's District 17-4A Track and Field Meet to earn bids to the Regional Meet on May 3.

Lady Lions v. Hays
On Monday, March 29, the Lady Lion varsity softball team began the second round of district play. Lockhart’s district record entering this game was 4-1, having lost to Elgin 2-1 in 12 innings.

As the first round of district play wound down and the second round began, the Varsity Lions found their stride and delivered back-to-back crushing victories against the Lehman Lobos and the Manor Mustangs last week.
On April 6, the Lions hosted the Lobos and deftly defeated them 11-0.

Schulle thrills home crowd by pitching perfect game
On Tuesday, March 23, the Lady Lion varsity softball team racked up another win as they defeated the Del Valle Cardinals at home 9-0.
