Jack Buchanan passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at the age of 66.

Jack was born in Uvalde, Texas, on June 15, 1946, and resided in Leakey, Texas, until 1964 when he moved to Austin, Texas. Jack worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 36 years. He was a member of the Bass Masters Fishing Club for a number of years.

Jack loved working with his hands and after

retirement had a wood crafting business. Jack and his wife, Donna, took numerous trips to Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Jack is survived by his wife, Donna; his son, Scott (Maria), of San Antonio; daughter, Karen Johnson and son, Jeffery (Jennifer), of Prospect, Ohio; and his seven grandchildren.

Serving as the pallbearers were: Zachary Buchanan, Logan Buchanan, Jeremy Kelly, Joshua Moore, Jonathon Moore and Jacob Moore. Serving as the honorary pallbearers were: Isaiah Chavez, Anthony Chavez and Quentin Baros.

A visitation was held Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Eeds Funeral Home in Lockhart. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Eeds Funeral Home. Burial followed at Bunton Cemetery in Dale, with Herbert Griffin officiating.
