Mr. Jimmy Lee Wilson, 79, passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on Aug. 28, 2011, with his family at his side.

Jimmy was born June 29, 1932, in Coleman, Texas. He worked all his life in the educational field including working for Texas Education Agency for more than 20 years and was an educator in the Texas Public School System.

Jimmy belonged to several organizat

ions, which included the Texas State Booster Club, Texas Cattleman’s Association and Order of the Sons of Hermann. He was a lifelong member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Jimmy served in the Air Force during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Darlene, on Oct. 20, 1993, and by his sister, Dale Siemering.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Ann and her husband, Thom Taylor, of Port Aransas, Texas; son, Keith and wife, Diane Wilson, of Lockhart; sister, Sis Williams, of San Marcos; brothers-in-law, Johnny Siemering and Daniel Nolte, both of Lockhart; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held Aug. 31, 2011, from 6 – 8 p.m., at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 1, 2011, at Eeds Funeral Home with Pastor Carlson Jakubik officiating. Burial followed immediately after the service at the Memory Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Martindale, Texas.

Serving as the pallbearers were Thomas Blackwell, Shane Gragg, David Martinez, Matt Morales, Danny Nolte, Steve Nolte, B.J. Germer and Mark Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Siemering, Bill Hughes, Bruce Germer and Daniel Nolte. Arrangements with Eeds Funeral Home, 408 South Main Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644. (512) 398-2343.
