Johnnie Lynn Small passed away in Briarcliff on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. She was born in El Paso Texas on Nov. 4, 1947 to Ted Small and Francis Lanier McMahon Small.

They then lived in Midland, Texas, until moving to Del Rio where she met her high school sweetheart, James Traweek. She graduated as Salutatorian at Del Rio High School in 1966 and went to Baylor University

for two years then transferred to The University of Texas in Austin to be with James.

She worked at St. David”s Hospital for many years then worked at the U.S. Post office. She and James were married on September 7, 2007. After she retired from the Post Office she and James lived at their home in Briarcliff, Texas.

She is survived by her husband; her brother, Stuart Small and her sister, Teddi Lash; her brother and sister gave her five nieces and nephews, some of whom also have children now. She was loved by all.

Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 10:30 a.m. – noon on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, with services following at 12:30 p.m. at Jeffrey Cemetery in McMahan.

    Thank you for the kind words about Johnnie Lynn. Her mother lived on a farm near the cemetary and was also known and loved by all.
