Josefa M. Silva, was released from her earthly bonds into the Heavens, to be with our Heavenly Father on Nov. 21, 2016, at the Golden age of 99. Born on Sept. 19, 1917, in Mexico, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
Josefa is preceded in death by her Loving husband of 30 years, Lorenzo Silva Sr.; her parents, Ireneo and Martina Mo

reno; sister, Juana Torres; brothers, Ascencion Moreno and Jesus Moreno; and grandson, Nicolas Silva.
Josefa was known for her kind smile and with an open heart to everyone. She always started her mornings with a cup of coffee to start the day off. To relax, Josefa liked being in the garden, where her plants and flowers would bloom. Nothing meant more to her than her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We thank the Lord for giving her to us for as long as we had her.
Her spirit lives with us and her legacy will always continue with us.
Her life continues through her daughters, Mary Silva and Frances Castillo; sons, Lorenzo, Jr. and Antonio Silva; brothers, Antonio and Pedro Moreno; sisters, Julia Rocha and Beatrice Prado; grandchildren: Kris, Ceci, Joanna, Alexia and Alyssa; great-grandchildren: Brittany, Maria, Alec, Marcus, Jesse, Isaiah, Kara, Scarlett and Aliyah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of Rosary will be on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Martindale, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, Dec. 16 at 12:00 p.m., also at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Father Victor Mayorga and Rev. Father Rafael Padilla will officiate. Burial will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, Texas.
