Lady Lions
vs. Smithville
The Lady Lions hit the Lockhart Junior High field first. They started playing

at 5:30 p.m. with plenty of enthusiasm and determination, giving the Lady Tigers few opportunities to control the ball from the beginning.
The Lady Lions remained competitive until the end using the wind advantage for half of the match and the games momentum for the rest. They did an excellent job of keeping the ball from the Lady Tigers, who grew noticeably tired by the end of the game. The Smithville Lady Tigers lost 3-1 to the Lady Lions.

Lions vs. Smithville
The Lions made it out to the field a little after 6:30 p.m. and they, too, started with great enthusiasm. They scored three consecutive goals before the Tigers ever put a point on the scoreboard.
The Lions kept the pressure on the Tigers throughout the entire match. The Tigers tried hard to score on the Lions, but the Lion defense was tough to break. In the end, it was the Lions who were faster and stronger. They beat the Tigers 5-3.
The LJHS Boys soccer team will host the Cedar Creek team at the LJHS field while the LJHS Girls team travels to Cedar Creek to play on Thursday, May 15.
See you at the game.
