Lady Lion volleyball ends season with win

The Lady Lion varsity volleyball team completed their district play with a big win over Hendrickson on Friday evening, Oct. 21.
All cylinders were clicking for the Lady Lions as they played with a lot of emotion and enthusiasm on and off the court. The Lady Lions made work of the Hawks in four exciting games. The scores were 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, and 25-19.

ame one, Kelly Witte served up three aces and Natalie Raemsch and Krystal Laws contributed three kills each.
During game two, Witte had two aces. Brianna Hinnenkamp and Laws contributed three kills each while Lindsay Wilson had three digs.
In game three, the Hendrickson lady Hawks jumped out to a 12-3 lead over Lockhart, but the Lady Lions never gave up coming within three points of their lead.
In the final game, both teams exchanged points until the Lady Lions pulled ahead to finish with the win. Natalie Raemsch served up an ace and the rest of the team helped out contributing to 11 kills and some impressive passing.
Overall, contributing to the Lady Lions attacks was Laws with 11 kills, Hinnenkamp with nine kills, Witte with eight kills, Raemsch with five kills, Ashley Moore with five kills, and Camille Clay with three kills.
Setting up the kills was Laws and Witte with 11 assists each and Clay with four.
Defensively leading the team was Hinnenkamp with six digs, Wilson with five digs, and Moore with five digs.
Guarding the net was Witte and Hinnenkamp with two blocks each.
The Lady Lions finished district play with a 3-9 record.
The freshman and junior varsity teams both lost their closing matches to Hendrickson.
