NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD BY THE Board of Directors of the Lockhart Economic Development Corporation at 6:00 p.m. February 1, 2016, in Upstairs Lockhart City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas to discuss plans and receive p

ublic input regarding participation in a project under Section 4B 505.152 of the Development Corporation Act which specifically permits expenditures of tax proceeds for public parks and related open space improvements.

The proposed project will assist the City of Lockhart in an amount up to $820,000 to fund improvements found by the Lockhart Economic Development Board of Directors to be required or suitable for use for public park purposes and events and other related improvements that enhance the park development. These are specifically identified as construction of a building in the Lockhart City Park and a playscape to be located at Pecos Park for a total not to exceed $820,000.

All interested parties, are encouraged to attend and present their views. Persons with disabilities that plan to attend this meeting should contact the City Secretary’s office to arrange for assistance. Individuals who require auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact City Hall at least two days before the meeting.
