STEERING

COMMITTEE MEETING

This committee, appointed by the Lockhart City Council, will meet on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 6 pm, downstairs in the Glosserman Room, City Hall, at 308 W San Antonio Street.

Burditt Consulting will meet with the Steering Committee and City Staff to introduce the project, clarify objectives, gather input as to priorities for evaluating alternatives, and identify resources and challenges. This information will be used in preparation for the first Public Input Workshop to be held on October 10, 2017, at the same location and time.

The public is invited.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

 

SUP-17-15. A request by Gene Mundahl, on behalf of Juan Montelongo, for a Specific Use Permit to allow a Manufactured Home on Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, Schuler Addition, zoned RMD Residential Medium Density District and located at 718 Hardeman Street.

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property who wish to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

 

Should any person be aggrieved by the Commission’s action, a request may be submitted in writing for an appeal to City Council. Such request must be submitted to the Zoning Administrator (City Planner) within ten calendar days of the date of the Commission’s action.

Auction Notice

Lockhart ISD will be auctioning a 24 ft x 64 ft – 2 classroom portable building. To bid on the portable building please go to www.renebates.com/a_main.php?id=270. All bidders must be registered with Rene Bates Auctioneers. The auction will open Thursday, September 21st and close Thursday, October 5th at Noon. The building must be removed from the premises no later than November 6th.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The City of Lockhart is accepting bonded bids from qualified General Contractors until Monday, October 9th, 2017, at 10:00 am for the construction of a fire station add-on project located at 1914 W. San Antonio Street. Bids must be submitted to the City of Lockhart, 308 W. San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644, during normal business hours. Bids not received by the required time and date will be returned unopened. There is a $60.00 refundable deposit for the bid specifications and construction plans picked up at City Hall. Specifications and construction plans will also be available on the City’s website at www.lockhart-tx.org .

There will be a mandatory pre-construction meeting on Monday, October 2, 2017, at 10 am at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio St., downstairs in the Glosserman Room.

The City of Lockhart reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

Separate sealed Bids for the County Line Special Utility District’s HIGH ROAD – 0.5 M.G. ELEVATED TANK, SWE Project No. 0017-056-17 will be received by and at the office of the General Manager, 8870 Camino Real, Uhland, Texas 78640 until Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. and then opened in the County Line SUD’s office.

 

Project consists of, but is not limited to the following: 500,000 Gallon Multi-leg Elevated Storage Tank including foundation and all appurtenances.

 

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE NOTICE TO PROCEED WILL BE ISSUED IN EARLY NOVEMBER 2017. PROJECT MUST BE COMPLETED BY MID JULY 2018.

The County Line Special Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.

 

Bids may be held by the County Line Special Utility District for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
