The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

 

ZC-14-03.  A request by Dean T. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 46 “SIGNS” OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ADD A DESCRIPTION AND MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF A NEW FREESTANDING SIGN CLASSIFICATION OF EXPRESSWAY CORRIDOR SIGN IN SECTION 46-10 “SIGN-TYPE STANDARDS”, AND TO ADD EXPRESSWAY CORRIDOR SIGNS AND MODIFY THE REGULATION OF HIGH PROFILE SIGNS WITH REGARD TO FORM OF APPROVAL, ALLOWABLE ZONING, AND MAXIMUM SIZE, IN THE TABLE IN SECTION 46-11 “ZONING STANDARDS”; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Request for Bids

The City of Lockhart is receiving bids until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25th, 2014, at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio Street, for the following;

To trim trees at locations specified away from 7200 volt primary lines, 220 volt residential secondary services and commercial businesses services, to a minimum of three feet (3 ft) unless approved by the Electric Superintendent. The contractor must provide sufficient signage, supervision, 3 personnel, reliable equipment, at least a 55 ft bucket truck and any required materials to trim, clean all saw blades before next tree cut, paint, chip limbs and clean up areas. Contractors must find a stationery site to park equipment and place materials if needed. Contractor must provide proof of general liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance naming the City of Lockhart as a co-insured entity. Contractor shall follow Ansi A Standard rules.

 

Bid package may be picked up at City Hall located at 308 West San Antonio Street during normal business hours.

 

Bids may be mailed or delivered to 308 West San Antonio St., Lockhart, and Tx. 78644. Envelopes containing bids should be externally marked “Tree Trimming”. Bids not received by the stated date and time above will be returned unopened. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The Annual Meeting for the Polonia Water Supply Corporation will be held at the Polonia Water Supply Corporation office, located at 2990 FM 1185, Lockhart, Texas. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM on the 18th of February, 2014.

Members who want to address the board or the membership must sign-in on a separate sheet provided by the Presiding Director indicating the topic they wish to discuss.  Members will be given three minutes each to speak.

No motions may be accepted or action taken on issues brought up at the meeting from the floor. All action items must have been included on the posted agenda.  Members can request that items be placed on the agenda for future annual (or special) members meetings or for future meetings of the Board of Directors.  This limitation is required by the public notice requirements of the Texas Open Meetings Act and is not an attempt to limit any member’s access to the Board of Directors or the membership.
