On or about September 1, 2013 at 5:25 AM, Performance Wrecker Service Vehicle Storage Facility located at 218 North Main Street in Lockhart, TX 78644 impounded and took a burned vehicle, appearing to be a small Nissan-type pickup, possibly silver in color, into possession. The vehicle was located in Caldwell County on Long Road in Lockhart, TX.

NOTICE OF

PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

 

ZC-14-06.  A request by Fashion Glass & Mirror, LLC, on behalf of Griffith Family Partners, LTD, for a Zoning Change from CHB Commercial Heavy Business District to

IL Industrial Light District for 6.0 acres in the Cornelius Crenshaw League & Labor, Abstract No. 68, located at 2222 West San Antonio Street (SH 142).

 

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property wishing to state their support or opposition must do so at this Public Hearing; or they must submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

 

In the event that property owners should desire to protest the action of the Planning and Zoning Commission, they must: (1) file their written protest with the City Secretary on or before five days prior to the Public Hearing before the City Council; and, (2) the written protest must be signed and acknowledged by the owners of at least 20 percent of the land included in the proposed change, or by owners of at least 20 percent of the land area within a 200-foot radius of the boundary of the proposed change.  To be a valid protest, both conditions (1) and (2) above must be met or the petition will be rejected.

 

The City of Lockhart City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 7:30 PM in the lower level of City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio, Lockhart, Texas, to consider this zoning change request, the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and valid protests if any.

General Election called 2014

An election is hereby called to elect the offices of one Mayor and three alderpersons to serve a two year term from May 2014 until May 2016 or until their successors are duly elected and qualified. The Election shall be held on May 10, 2014 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 700 p.m. at the County Line Water SUD Located at 131 South Camino Real Uhland Texas.   County Line Water is hereby calling the 2014 General Election to elect  two board members for a three year term, May 2014 until May 2017. County Line Water SUD and the City of Uhland will be sharing the cost of the 2014 General Election.

The last day to file to be on the ballot is February 28, 2014 at 5:00 pm.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

 

Separate sealed Bids for the County Line Special Utility District (CLSUD) Recoating of Exterior and Interior of the Hemphill Elevated Water Reservoir will be received by and at the County Line Special Utility District office, 131 S. 1. Bid for the exterior refurbishing.

3. Bid for the exterior and interior refurbishing combined.

4. Preparation of existing coating to receive a primer and paint recoating of exterior/interior of water tank including the entire exterior/interior. To include tank, support columns, walkways and brace work.

5. The lettering on the tank shall be removed and a separate bid made to replace the lettering.

County Line Special Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in the bidding.

 

Bids may be held by the County Line Special Utility District for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder”s qualifications prior to the contract award.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Lockhart will be received at the Lockhart City Hall, 308 West San Antonio, Lockhart, Texas 78644, until 11:00 A.M., March 20,  2014 for the Hwy. 183 Utility Relocations Phase I – Water, Wastewater and Underground Communications, at which time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Any bid received after closing time will be returned unopened.

 

The project consists of installing approximately 5,000 L.F. of 12” and 8” PVC Sanitary Sewer Main, 3,500 L.F. of 8” Water Main, 650 L.F. of HDPE Communication Conduits, and all necessary appurtenances.

 

Bidders shall submit with their bids a Cashier”s Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum total bid, payable to the City of Lockhart, Texas without recourse, or a Proposal Bond in the same amount from an approved Surety Company as a guarantee that Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) days after the award of Contract.  Bids without check or Proposal Bond will not be considered.

 

The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payments Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Surety and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner.
