PUBLIC NOTICE

1. Pursuant of Sec. 12-450 “Unsafe Building Implements” of the Code of Ordinances for the City of Lockhart. The City of Lockhart does hereby notify you, or your agent(s), as property owner of record of the below listed property(s) of the order issued by the Construction Board of Appeals during the Public Hearing held on November 10, 2011   at 9:00AM at City Hall located at 308 W. San Antonio St., Lockhart, TX. The Construction Board of Appeals has given the property owner of A017, Byrd Lockhart, Acres .3 Also known as 703 Brazos St. thirty (30) days from the day of the Public Hearing to obtain a demolition permit to remove the structure located at 703 Brazos St. and sixty (60) days from the issuance of the demolition permit to complete all demolition work with a provision of a reasonable time extension due to bad weather. In the event that the property owner, or the agent(s), either fails to obtain a demolition permit within the proscribed thirty (30) days or fails to complete all demolition work within sixty (60) days from the issuance date, with a provision for a reasonable time extension due to a bad weather, the City of Lockhart with have a contractor demolish or finish all remaining demolition work including clean-up of the property. The City of Lockhart will send the property owner a bill for all expenses incurred by the City for payment. In the event that the bill remains unpaid after thirty (30) days, the City will file a lien against the property at the Caldwell County Courthouse. The property owner has the right to appeal the Board”s decision to a court of competent jurisdiction. The property owner must file a notice with the City Secretary within ten (10) days of the Public Hearing. A complete order of the Board”s decision may be found at the office of the City Secretary.
