ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Separate sealed Bids for the Goforth Special Utility District (GSUD) – PLANT “L” – LAS SYSTEM, SWE Project No. 0092-070-13 will be received by and at the office of the General Manager, 8900 Niederwald Strasse, Niederwald, Texas 78640 until 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 19, 2013 and then opened in the S.U.D. office.

 

P

roject consists of, but is not limited to the following:   A 20’x20’ CMU block building with new LAS system and new chlorine system within, driveway extension, security fencing, flow meter and vault, electrical improvements and all other necessary appurtenances.  Each Bidder shall  also include the time when he could begin work and the number of days needed to complete the project as part of his bid.  This may factor into the award of the project.

A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety registered with the U.S. Treasury shall be submitted with each bid.  A certified check payable to the GSUD  may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.

 

The GSUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.

 

Bids may be held by the GSUD for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder”s qualifications prior to the contract award.

The Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) invites interested individuals to attend a public meeting to discuss CAPCOG’s FY 2014-2015 solid waste program activities, proposed funding, and grant opportunities. For FY 2014-2015, approximately $140,000 is available to local political subdivisions (e.g., cities, counties, schools, school districts, river authorities, etc.) to implement local and regional solid waste management projects which meet the goals and objectives identified in the CAPCOG Regional Solid Waste Management Plan. The public meeting will be held on November 14, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. in CAPCOG’s Pecan Meeting Room, located at 6800 Burleson Road, Building 310, Suite 165, Austin, TX, 78744. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 58, UTILITIES, SECTION 58-4, RESALE OF WATER OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE SALE OF WATER SUPPLIED BY THE CITY TO ANOTHER PERSON ONLY AS PROVIDED BY STATE LAW; PROVIDING FOR A REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The City of Lockhart is receiving sealed bids at 308 W. San Antonio Street Lockhart TX 78644, until 10am on Wednesday, November 13th from qualified individuals and/or companies for the all interior priming and painting at the Masonic Building Annex. Bids submitted must be good for 120 days. Sealed bid envelopes should be marked “Paint”. Proof of general liability and worker’s compensation coverage naming the City of Lockhart as an additional insured will be required before final award.

All bids must include all materials and labor required to finish the job per specs and plans available. In your bid, please include the time scope of completion and projected start date.

Paint will be required on:

• Interior Walls

• Hard Ceilings

• New and Old Cabinetry

• Interior Trim on walls and windows

• All Air Conditioning grills

• Interior Windows

• Exterior Windows

• New AND

Proof of general liability and worker’s compensation coverage naming the City of Lockhart as an additional insured will be required before final award.

All bids must include all materials and labor required to finish the job per specs and plans available. In your bid, please include the time scope of completion and projected start date.

Material Specifications for the Cabinetry are as follows:

• Paint grade maple on body of cabinet

• Oak/cherry stain grade on deck
