NOTICE OF PERMIT APPLICATION

PUBLIC SUPPLY WELL

Gonzales County Water Supply Corporation (GCWSC) has submitted a Drilling and Production permit application to the Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District (GCUWCD) for a public supp

ly well. The proposed public supply well is located approximately 9 miles south of the City of Gonzales near the intersection of SH 97 and CR 383 in Gonzales County. GCWSC proposes to produce approximately 806 acre feet of groundwater per year at an average rate of 500 gallons per minute. The well is completed in the Carrizo Aquifer.

 

The GCUWCD Rules in effect at the time of this permit application submittal are the March 16, 2010 Rules. Permit notice and hearing procedures are included in Rule 24. Copies of the GCUWCD’s March 16, 2010 rules are available at the GCUWCD office located at 920 Saint Joseph Street, Room 129, Gonzales, Texas 78629 or online at the GCUWCD website www.gcuwcd.org . Interested persons may provide written comments to the GCUWCD on the proposed public supply well permit application. Written comments must be filed within thirty (30) days of the date of publication of this notice and in accordance with Rule 24 of the rules of the GCUWCD. Comments should be submitted to the GCUWCD’s General Manager at 920 Saint Joseph, Room 129, P.O. Box 1919, Gonzales, Texas 78629.

 

If no comments are received by the end of the 30-day comment period, a public hearing may not be required and the Board may act on the permit application.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:

SUP-14-07. A request by Anthony Bowen on behalf of Pat Allred, for a Specific Use Permit, to allow a Lounge/Wine Tasting Room on part of Lots 4 & 5, Block 22, Original Town of Lockhart, consisting of 0.118 acre zoned CCB Commercial Central Business District, and located at 115 North Main Street.

SUP-14-08. A request by Viola Lee, on behalf of Faith/Fe Presbyterian Church, for a Specific Use Permit to allow an expansion of Church activities on property zoned RMD Residential Medium Density District consisting of the block bounded by Aransas Street, Pin Oak Street, and Brazos Street, containing the existing church building and parking lot at 900 Aransas Street, the proposed construction of a new building at 904 Aransas Street, and the proposed construction of a new parking lot at 912 Aransas Street, but not including 0.166 acre containing a house at 911 Brazos Street. The primary use of the new church building will be a fellowship hall and community youth facility.

All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of these properties who wish to state their support or opposition may do so at this Public Hearing; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.

 

Should any person be aggrieved by the Commission’s action, a request may be submitted in writing for an appeal to City Council. Such request must be submitted to the Zoning Administrator (City Planner) within ten calendar days of the date of the Commission’s action.

Public Bid Notice

The City of Lockhart is accepting bids until 2 pm. Thursday, November 21, 2014, at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio Street, Lockhart, TX, for annual maintenance mowing and weed-eating activities at the Lockhart Municipal Airport in specified areas. All bidders must posses a valid City of Lockhart contractor’s license and be bonded. Qualified bidders may obtain specifications packets at the Public Works Department, 705 Wichita St., during normal business hours. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site before submitting a bid. Mowing frequencies will vary based on weather conditions and needs.

 

Bids not received by the date and time as specified above will be rejected. The City of Lockhart retains the right to reject any and all bids.

CITY OF LOCKHART

PUBLIC BID FOR FUELS

The City of Lockhart is accepting annual supply bids for approximately 40,000 gallons of unleaded plus gasoline and 26,000 gallons of Nol. 2 dyed diesel fuel. A minimum of two-thousand five hundred (2,500) gallons would be ordered at any given time. The price of fuels may increase or decrease based on the weekly average Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) price published each Thursday from the Austin, Texas, Rack. The amount designated as the supplier’s profit margin per gallon must include delivery and must remain the same during the term of the contract. The contract term will be from one year from the date of approval by the City Council. Bid award may be separate for each fuel. Required forms for bid submittal are available from the Public Works Office at 705 Wichita Street during normal business hours.

 

Bids must be received by 2 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2014 at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644. Bids not received by this time and date will be rejected. Bid envelopes should be externally marked to indicate “Fuel Bids”.

 

The City of Lockhart reserves the right to reject any and all fuel bids.
