Lillian Ruth Murphy passed away suddenly, January 30, 2018 at Seton Hays, Kyle, Texas.
Lillian was born in Boston, Massachusetts, March 24, 1945 to George Paturas and Kathleen Perry. She was raised by her father and his mother in “Da Bronx” before moving to Texas in 1982 with her children. She worked for and retired from the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association for over 15 years, by which she was fortunate enough to travel much of the northwest hemisphere.
She raised her children, including many sons from other mothers, in Lytton Springs.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Wicks (Florida), nephews Robert Anthony Cangiamila and Ken Cangi, grandnephew Robert Anthony Cangiamila Jr., great-nephew Robert Anthony Cangiamila III and great-niece Haley Cangiamila.
She is also survived by daughter Laurie Murphy, her partner, John “Timo” Villalobos, son Daniel Murphy Sr., his wife Andrea Murphy, grandchildren Dr. Kourtne Roberts, her husband Joseph “Blake” Roberts, grand-dog Mia, Kassidy Ray Edwards, her fiancé Tillotson “Keene” Field, Daniel Leonard Murphy Jr., and her great-grandson Loden Keenen Field.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leonard Murphy.
A life celebration was held February 3, 2018; Heart of Texas Crematory handled her final wishes.
Lillian was a larger than life, truly unforgettable personality. She was known for her platinum hair, sky blue eyes, smile, wit, charm, Yankee accent and love of neon colors. Her children, grandchildren an Loden were the lights in her life.
Nana will truly be missed.
