The recent resignation of the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Becki Womble has caused a shift in leadership that could have a major impact on Lockhart’s business community moving forward.
Womble, who announced recently that she had accepted a position as the President and CEO of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, has been with the Lockhart Chamber since 2007, and has been the seated president approximately a year and a half. She will be replaced temporarily by Interim Chamber Manager Angela Rawlinson.
Rawlinson joined the Chamber staff as Administrative Assistant shortly after Womble took over as President, and has worked closely with Womble on all Chamber activities, including the planning and execution of major events such as CTR, and the day-to-day business of the Chamber.
However, the Chamber has advertised that they are seeking candidates to submit resumes to fill the position.
