Five months of investigation came to a head last week as the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office descended on a home on Graham Road, south of Lockhart.

Caldwell County Sheriff Daniel Law announced on Monday that two men and one woman were arrested after a narcotics trafficking investigation led to t

he execution of search and arrest warrants at the residence. Additionally, two children were taken into the custody of Child Protective Services, who were called to the residence by deputies during the sting.

According to Law, the search of the property produced marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Collene Garland, 45, was charged with Endangering a Child with Imminent Bodily Injury, and Possession of Controlled Substance. Her total bond on the two charges was set at $75,000 by Judge Ben Brady.

Also arrested at the residence was Shanon Ray Patschke, 51, who was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana, and held on $11,000 in bonds.

Dean Ray Patschke, 21, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Brady set his bond at $500.

The Caldwell County Appraisal District does not reflect property owned in Caldwell County by any of the accused, and it is unclear who owns the home where the arrests were made and the drugs seized.

The investigation remains under way, and Law suggested more arrests may be pending.
