LISD recognizes student success

During an extensive period of recognition during the regular meeting of the Lockhart ISD Board of Trustees on Monday night, the Board took the time to recognize dozens of students who have gone above and buy cialis online beyond their scholastic duties this year.

A group of students from Bluebonnet Elementary has been honing their reading skills this year, and named winners in the “Battle of socialbusinessday.org the Bluebonnets,” a statewide literacy program that designates 20 books per year for students to read. Also from Bluebonnet Elementary, a group of students who participated in the “Think Through Math” organization were recognized for charitable giving.

The Think Through Math program allows students to be quizzed and earn points toward the purchase of rewards, including personal items or pizza parties for their class.

However, instead of using their earned points for themselves, students at Bluebonnet Elementary chose to donate the monetary value of their points to maria-mendes.com the Make A Wish Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project, and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Sixteen Bluebonnet Elementary Students became published poets this fall, through the “Today’s Writers” poetry competition.

Working with the Talented and Gifted program at Bluebonnet, the students researched poetry styles and each wrote original works, which were later published by the Today’s Writers program. Six of the 16 volunteered to share their work at the board meeting; the poems spanned a broad range of uk viagra prices topics, including nature, sports and ninjas.
