Lucille Ewing Seaver, 88, passed away on Nov. 7, 2010, in Lockhart, Texas. Lucille was born in Lockhart in 1922, spent much of her early life in San Antonio, where she met and married her husband of 49 years. They had three sons. After spending a few years in El Paso and Austin, Lucille with her husband moved back to the Lockhart area in 1973. They settled just south of to

wn (Lazy Hobo Ranch), raised Red Brangus cattle, chickens, gardened and greatly enjoyed the rural life in Caldwell County. Lucille loved animals, especially her dogs (Lady and Dolly) and the wild peacocks that frequented their property. She was also very interested in Indian History and her home was always decorated to reflect her interests and arrowhead hunting discoveries.

Lucille was preceded in death by her mother, Hadie Benner Ewing; her father, Alexander Ewing); a brother, Zan Ewing; a sister, Alice Mae Harrison; her husband, Charles R. “Bob” Seaver, Jr.; and granddaughter Jodi Seaver.

Lucille is survived by her three sons: Bob (Karen), of Burnet, Texas, Bill (Barbara), of Knoxwille, Tenn., and Steve (Danny) from San Francisco; five grandchildren: Tim (Sherry), David (Zammy), Mark (Kathy), Joy and John; and five great-grandchildren, Zamantha, Zoe, David, Elle and Paige.

Visitation was scheduled from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at Lockhart Municipal Burial Park.
