Martha Duran
Martha Lucille Tate Duran a longtime resident of Lockhart passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014. She was born in October 1923 in her grandmother’s house in Lockhart on Bois D’Arc St. Martha was married to Sam Odell Duran for 37 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Morris Tate; and two grandchildren, Justin Ellis and Stephanie Ellis. She is survive
d by her four sons, William Ellis and wife, Donna, Rodney Ellis, Gary Duran and wife, Wanda, and Archie Duran and wife, Erika; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, with services following at 11 a.m. with Rev. Larry Hargraves officiating. Interment will follow at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
