Our Heavenly Father called Mary Allen home on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007. She was born on Feb. 1, 1931.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Pete C. Allen, her parents Juventino and Guadalupe Silva; daughters, Carol Chytil and Elvira Zamarripa; brother Santiago Silva; and sister Concepcion De Leon.
She is survived by her children: Wilma Allen, Patricia De Santiag

o and husband, Pete, Paul Allen, Gilbert Allen and wife, Mary Lou, Wayne Allen and wife Beatrice, Rebecca Allen, Pamela Hansen and husband Doug, Monica Allen, Steve Allen, and son-in-law Eleazar Zamarripa;16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: Arnulfo Silva, Miguel Silva, Hermillo Silva, Rodolfo Silva, Ismael Silva, Raul Silva and Robert Silva; sisters: Marcela Cantu, Ofelia Ornelas, Sara Ramos and Olivia Silva.
A Holy Rosary recitation was held on Monday, Oct.15, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gonzalo Ferrer officiating. A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, Oct.16, 2007 at 11 a.m. at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, 9110 S. Hwy 183 in Austin, Texas. Serving as pallbearers were: Brandon Allen, Bryce Allen, Kenneth Allen, Trevor Brown, Jonathan Rodriguez, Scott Allen and Jamie (Bubba) Allen. The honorary pallbearers were: Pete De Santiago and Francisco Zamarripa.
Following the mass, Mary was laid to rest at the Lockhart City Cemetery, Lockhart, Texas.
The Allen Family would like to thank HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center and Hospice Austin for their care, support and generosity, as well as many friends and co-workers for their thoughts and prayers. The family would like to give special thanks to Vicky Fowler and Anna Bartolomeo. Mere words cannot express our heartfelt appreciation for the patience and tender loving care you both gave our mother during her illness.
