Melinda Garner of Lockhart, beloved and cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away on Oct. 26, 2015, at the age of 92. She was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Caldwell County, Texas, to Herbert and Mary (Krueger) Schulle.

Melinda was a lifelong resident of Caldwell County. She was married to Orville Garner for 60 years. He passed away in July of 2006 and

since his passing Melinda has lived at Golden Age Assisted Living.

She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Orville Garner; daughter, Mary Alice Garner; and three brothers: Hilmer Schulle, Herbert Schulle, Jr., and Norman Nieman.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara McCrary and husband, Ron, of Roman Forest, Texas; brother, Abner Ross Schulle, of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Melinda will be missed by the many people who knew and loved her.

Family will receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., with a Graveside Service following at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Jeffrey Cemetery in McMahan, with the Rev. Vance Rodgers officiating.
