Myrtle Perry Voigt, 91, of Luling, a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Jan. 16, 2008 at Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital in Luling. She was born in Waelder, Texas, on May 23, 1916 to Robert and Betty Ann (Lanham) Perry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry Morgan Voigt (1992); sons, Raymond Lavern “RL” Voig

t (1989) and Michael B. Voigt (1992); five sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Voigt, who was devoted to her family, is survived by her son, LH “Cotton” Voigt of Luling; two daughters, LaNell Louise Voigt Hart and husband, William A. “Bill” of Austin, and Carol Ann Voigt of Luling; three grandchildren, Pam Wick, Krista Lynn Voigt and Dennis Voigt and nine great-grandchildren, Amanda Materanek, Cole Wick, Evan, Wick, Cullen, Wick, James Hair, Donny Hair, Elizabeth Hair, Samantha Voigt and Nichole Voigt.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at McCurdy Funeral Home with the Reverend Wayne McCrary officiating. Interment followed at Pettytown Cemetery, Bastrop County, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were Gary McMullen, Roy Wick, David, Jeff, “Roper” and Justin Voigt. Honorary pallbearers were Harlan McMullen, David Kincaid, George Henry, Roy Bo and Jerry Voigt.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Voigt”s memory to the Pettytown Cemetery Association, The Luling Oil Museum, or charity of choice.
