National Night Out set for city

Once again, Lockhart residents will be joining millions across the nation to celebrate “National Night Out”, America”s Night Out Against Crime and Drugs. City-Wide activities are scheduled for Saturday evening, July 31st, from 7 to 9pm in the City Park and Neighborhood Block Parties are planned for Tuesday night, August 3rd.

c in the City Park on Saturday evening and enjoy a few hours of free swimming and other free activities including: a tour of the Critical Air Helicopter, the TX Dot “rollover” simulator, a display of model airplanes and demonstrations by the Lockhart Aero Modelers, and a line up of classic car and motorcycle displays.
Local Police, Fire and EMS crews will also be on hand to answer questions and to provide some free goodies for the “little ones” and safety information for all ages.
Lockhart seniors can sit, relax and enjoy a game of dominos courtesy of the Lockhart Senior Citizen Center.
To “showcase” young talent, a karaoke machine will be available, so have the little ones bring their cassette and a “song in their heart”.

If you would like to host a Block Party for your neighborhood, please call the Lockhart Police Department for details at 398-4401. All Block Parties registered through the Police Department will receive some official “National Night Out” t-shirts and ball caps.
