Abner “Bubba” Alverly Ross III, passed away peacefully in Seguin, Texas, on Oct. 24, 2013.

Bubba was born in Lockhart, on Jan. 17, 1938, to Dr. Abner Alverly Ross and Ruth DeNiff Ross. Bubba lived all his life in Lockhart, Wimberley and Seguin. He was a well-known member of these communities. He owned his own real estate business and insurance business and he was a membe

r of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Lockhart in his youth.

Bubba was preceded in death by: his beloved parents; brothers, Abner Ross, II, and Jack DeNiff Ross; and sister, Margaret Ross Hinton.

Bubba is survived by: his wife, Judy Curry Ross; stepson and daughter-in-law, Michael and Paula Roy; stepson, Mitchell Curry; granddaughter, Crystal Curry and grandson, Justin Curry.

Bubba is also survived by: his daughter Suzanne, and her husband, Kerry Gaddis, of Lockhart; sons, Jack Ross and his wife, Kathy, of San Antonio and Clark and Julie Ross, of Austin; grandchildren: Apryl Santana, Kassie Gaddis, Chad Gaddis, Kory Gaddis, Megan Ross, Mark Ross, Christie Ross, Lauren Ross and Melissa Ross; five great-grandchildren and nephews and a niece.

A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 28, 2013, at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Lockhart with family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 28, 2013 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Pastor Rob Clopton, officiating.

Serving as the pallbearers will be Roy Albertson, Dr. Tommy Coopwood, Kerry Gaddis, Dr. James “Potsy” Guckian, Chuck Hinton, Ross Hinton, Jimmy Schroeder and honorary pallbearer, David Hinton. The interment will follow immediately in at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
