Adelia Barber, 95, of Brenham, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007 at Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village. Mrs. Barber was born Nov. 1, 1912 to Searcy A. and Cora (Woodward) Barber in Black Ankle, Texas.
Ms. Barber received a Master”s Degree from Southwest Texas State Teachers College and was retired from the teaching profession since 1975. She was a long-time teacher in the Houst

on I.S.D.
Survivors include her nephews, William P. Barber and Bruce F. Harper, both of San Marcos, Don G. Slocomb of Alpine and John T. Barber of Spicewood; nieces, Elizabeth Barber Forester of Lockhart, Cynthia Slocomb Henderson of Ralla, Mo. , Deborah Slocomb Graham of Nashville, Tenn., and Patricia Slocomb Daugherty of Brenham; and cousin, Sally Barber Evans of Victoria, Texas.
