Allie Grace Masur, 88, died on Nov. 26, 2011. She was born in Lockhart, Texas, on Dec. 6, 1922, to Allie Blackwell and Claudia Roberts Blackwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Eugene Masur, and her son, Michael E. Masur.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Masur and two grandchildren, Michael Wes Masur and wife, Candace, and Mandy Masur Holcomb and husband, John. She had three great-grandchildren: Morgan Masur and Trent and Lacey Holcomb.
Gene’s profession as a coach and later a school administrator and judge carried Grace and Gene to several different communities, where they met many wonderful people and made lifelong friends. She always said she had such a happy, wonderful life.
Service was held at 2p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Eeds Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Hahn officiating. Burial followed at Lockhart City Cemetery.
Serving as the pallbearers were: Bubba Haun, Kenneth Willenberg, Bobby Barboza, J. Hess, Wes Masur, John Holcomb and Scott Snyder. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Jessie Kelley.
