Alma Webb, 99, of Lytton Springs, passed away on March 24, 2008, in Luling, Texas. She was born on October 9, 1908, in Caldwell County, Texas, to J.C. and Edna (Holcomb) Evans.
On Jan. 2, 1926, Alma and Berry were married in Lockhart, Texas. Alma was a member of Lytton Springs Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Lytton Springs Volunteer Fire Department. She wa

s a member of the Retired Teachers” Association, after she retired as a bus driver for the Lockhart Independent School District.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband “Berry” Webb in 1994; son, Carroll Webb, in 1997; brothers James Evans, Ben Evans and Jeff Evans; two sisters, and great-grandson Thomas Lee Wheeler.
Alma is survived by son Vernon Webb, of Lytton Springs; daughter-in-law Esther Webb, of Lytton Springs; brothers, Howard D. Evans, of Victoria, and William H. Evans, of San Antonio; sisters, Judy Brackett, of College Station, and Mildred Anderson, of Lockhart; five grandchildren, Susie Wheeler, Terrie Crittenden, Vernon Webb, Jr., Donna DeGolier and Carroll W. Webb, six great-grandchildren, Becky Wheeler, Jason Oltman, Ashley Oltman, Laurel Crittenden, Jessica Webb and Jacob McMillan; and two great-great- grandchildren, Kyler Oltman and Reba Oltman.
Visitation and services in memory of Alma will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., and services will be at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Lytton Springs Cemetery, in Lytton Springs, Texas.
