Anita Bothe Barnett of Round Rock, Texas, peacefully passed away in Round Rock, on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, after a lengthy illness.
Anita was born in Lockhart on June 29, 1909. Prior to her illness and confinement she spent many years traveling to all parts of the world, including such locations as Beijing, Moscow, Cairo and Sydney. She had a love of life and was, in t

urn, loved by all who knew her. Anita had a passion for ballroom dancing and, even late in life, when asked about what she would like to be doing, she would, with a twinkling eye, say, “Let”s dance!”
Anita also loved to tend to the flowers and plants around her home of 40 years in Ft. Worth and would every so often speak about a long ago blooming rose or magnolia blossom.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, of 30 years, Roland Bothe, her second husband, of 20 years, Frederick W. Barnett, her parents Frank J. and Katie Ficke Rheinlander, brother Fred Rheinlander, and beloved sister Nora Gambrell.
Anita is survived by her four step-children; Wray Barnett, Moira Hogan, Gary Barnett and Bret Barnett as well as niece Joyce Blackwell, and nephew Thomas Gambrell.
Pallbearers will be Paul Rheinlander, Terry Rheinlander, Dan Rheinlander, Thomas Barnett, Bryan Barnett and Wray Barnett.
The family received friends from 3 – 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel in Lockhart.
Services were held at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel in Lockhart on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Carolyn Rosenbalm presiding. A graveside ceremony followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul”s United Church of Christ in Lockhart, Texas or to your favorite charity.
