Aubrey will be sorely missed. He was well known as a “good” man. I remember his kind, sweet and funny personality. He was such a positive person and saw the good in everything and everybody. He was proud to have graduated Southwest Texas State Teachers College, now Texas State University. When I moved back to Texas, Aubrey and his late wife, Vesta, were frequent company with my parents. We dined out with them and always ended out playing 42 and 84 (dominoes)—such great times I’ll always remember. Aubrey was my grandmother’s first cousin. Kudos to Cindy, his granddaughter, who took him home with her 8 years ago. She is an angel. Aubrey ran 2 miles daily until his 80’s. I think he was still walking 2 miles a day until a few months ago. Aubrey, you’ve got a foursome up there in Heaven now so you can play 42 with Vesta, Elizabeth and my Dad.
