Betty Reed

Betty Louise Reed, 85, of Lockhart, passed away on June 22, 2015. She was born on May 11, 1930 in Lytton Springs to Willie Thomas and Ida Mae Richburg Smith.
She grew up in Lockhart and graduated from Lockhart High School in 1948. She lived in Vanderbilt area for many years before returning back to Lockhart after her husband passed away. She worked at McCurdy Funeral Home for

many years starting in 1984.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 35 years, George W. Reed.
She is survived by her son, Weldon Conrad Reed and wife, Rebecca Lynn, of Duncan, Okla., and their children, Christopher Conrad Reed and wife, April, their children, Logan, Jazmine and Tristan; also Lacey Lee Ann Reed, Scott Weldon Reed, Erik Harmon and Natosha Harmon (deceased July 14, 2003);  also her daughter Wanda Booker and husband, Leroy, of McMahan, Texas, and their children, Toby Kevin Booker and wife, Jennifer, their children, Josiah and Lydia; also Kami Capri Hieb and husband, Brandon Hieb and their children, Ryan, Audra and Drew.
Family will receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Funeral services will be at McCurdy Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015. Interment to follow at Jeffrey Cemetery in McMahan. Pallbearers will be Christopher Conrad Reed, Scott Weldon Reed, Erik Harmon, Toby Kevin Booker, Brandon Hieb and David Todd. Honorary Pallbearer will be Kenneth Sneed.
