Bryant Hohertz

Bryant “Bunton” Larry Hohertz, of Maxwell, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2012, at the age of 72. He was born on July 3, 1939, in Austin, Texas, to Walter Wm. and Ruth M. (Marburger) Hohertz.

Bryant was a life-long farmer who took great pride in his work. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Veleria G. Hohertz; three sons: Ronald Hohertz and wife, Cheryl, of Buda, Clay Hohertz and wife, Becky, of Elgin, and Cole Hohertz, of Lockhart; one daughter, Rhonda Hohertz-Covarrubias and husband, Will, of Kyle; and seven grandchildren.

Family planned to receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Funeral services were scheduled at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Salem Lutheran Church in Austin, with the Rev. Anamae Storbeck officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Mr. Hohertz’s honor to Salem Lutheran Church 9322 FM 812, Austin, Texas 78719.

  1. Valerie and Family, I was so sorry to hear of Bunton’s passing. He was one of the sweetest Guys at Travis High.
