Connie Oliver Hinkle, of Rowlett Texas, died March 28, 2018 at home surrounded by her children. She was born in Bound Brook, New Jersey on July 22, 1929 to Alfred and Nunciata Oliver. She married Claude F. Hinkle on October 2, 1949.
She is survived by her seven children, Claude “Skip” Hinkle, Jr. (Donna), Deborah “Debbie” DeBaun (Charles); John “Jack” Hinkle (Liana); Mary Beth Nickel, Peggy Sue Robinson, Ann-Margaret Hinkle, Rebecca Lynn Mehrwerth (Kevin). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Lindsay Nickel, Jenna Fogle, Breck Robinson, Jacob Hinkle, Lauren Mehrwerth and Max Mehrwerth; numerous nieces and nephews.
While mother lived and raised her children in Lockhart, she was a member of St. Mary’s of the Visitation Catholic Church. Her devotion to her Catholic faith, dedication to the Divine Mercy chaplet, her children and service to her community were the things that gave her most joy. She passed along her joy of life through her quick wit and ready smile. We will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Catholic Charities or your local animal shelter because she surely loved her dogs, Sailor and Daisy.
Recitation of the Rosary was held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated after the Rosary. Interment followed at Lockhart City Cemetery.
Arrangements under the care and guidance of McCurdy Funeral Home, 105 E. Pecan, Lockhart, Texas 78644.

My condolences to Connie’s children. I met Connie about 46 years ago when I taught some of her children. I loved visiting with her. She was special.

I just learned today that Connie passed away. What a precious lady who I loved very much! So sorry I was unable to visit with her these past years but she was always in my heart.
