Connie was a hardworking woman all her life. An accomplished seamstress and entrepreneur in the mid-1970s and ’80s, she worked for Glosserman’s Clothing Store in Lockhart before opening Connie’s Alteration Shop on Market Street near the Lockhart courthouse square. Her shop did alterations for Pittman’s Ready to Wear, Rossenwassers and Kaigler’s.

When she retired, Connie remained busy and always assisted with taking her grandchildren to school.

At home, Connie loved to prepare meals for her family and enjoyed simply sitting and watching her family at family gatherings. All the family knew to gather at her home every New Year’s Eve because Connie believed in the family being together on the last day of the year and the first day of the New Year. In their younger days, she and her husband loved to go dancing.

Connie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lockhart, Texas.
