Edward William Karnstadt Jr., 91, passed away peacefully at the Hays Nursing Home in San Marcos on Oct. 9, 2007. Edward was born to Edward William and Susie Schneider Karnstadt, Sr., on Dec. 28, 1915 in Ottine, Texas.
He lived in the Luling and Uhland area all his life. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Air Corps in the South Pacific area.

d was a farmer most of his life except during his military career.
Edward is survived by one sister, Evelyn Meyer and one brother, John Karnstadt, both of Uhland; nephew John Karnstadt, Jr., of Giddings; niece, Betty and husband Bill Maier of Spring Branch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation and viewing was held at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with family and friends in attendance.
Funeral Services were held Monday, Oct.15, 2007 at the St. John”s United Church of Christ in Uhland with Pastor Carlson Jakubik officiating. Interment followed at the Live Oak Cemetery in Uhland. Serving as the pallbearers were Gordon Sassman, Douglas Schnautz, Roy Jeffrey , Edward Smith, Howard Aiken and Daniel Heideman.
All funeral services were with Eeds Funeral Home, 408 South Main, Lockhart, Texas. (512) 398-2343.
